Ingredients

1/4 c
shortening
1 c
sugar

egg
1/2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
baking powder
2 c
flour
1/2 tsp
soda
1 c
chopped dates
1 c
chopped pecans

Step-By-Step

1Combine shortening, sugar and egg together; add remaining ingredientsand 1 cup hot water. beat well. Turn into loaf loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
