Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup dark cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 3 - overripe bananas, mashed well
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make dark chocolate banana bread

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Beat butter and sugar together. Add in eggs, one at a time until well combined. Mix in milk, vanilla extract, and mashed banana.
  • Step 3
    Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Step 4
    Combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients just until mixed. Stir in chopped nuts.
  • Step 5
    Pour into 2 greased and floured 8-inch loaf pans.
  • Step 6
    Bake in 350 degree oven for 50 miin -1 hour.
  • Step 7
    Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
  • Step 8
    Turn out onto rack and cool completely.
