Everyone loves delicious cinnamon rolls. This recipe reminds me of baking on rainy days with my mom. Memories I will always cherish.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups scalded milk
  • 2 packages yeast in 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 medium eggs beaten
  • 1 cup mashed potatoes
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 sticks butter

How To Make cinnamon rolls

  • Step 1
    Place yeast in bowl with a pinch of sugar. Melt butter, milk, water, sugar until scalded.
  • Step 2
    Mix in mashed potatoes and let cool enough at mix with yeast. Mix with yeast and add eggs, flour, and salt. Let rise.
  • Step 3
    Roll out and douse with butter. Sprinkle cinnamon and then brown sugar. I usually use a long piece of string or thread to cut the batter into circles. I leave them about 2-3 inches thick. Bake on a cookie sheet flat side down. Bake 12-15 mins at 350.
