cinnamon roll cake

I found this on Pintrest from 6 sisters and made it my own by making it with self rising flour and omitting the baking powder. It makes such a big cake that by cutting it in half, it is best for us as empty nesters.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • FILLING
  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup pecans, in pieces
  • GLAZE
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 5 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make cinnamon roll cake

  • Step 1
    Mix together flour, sugar, salt, milk, eggs, and vanilla. Once it is mixed well, slowly stir in 4 T of melted butter. Pour batter into greased 9 x 13 pan. In large bowl mix the softened butter, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and pecans until well combined. Drop by spoonfuls over cake batter. Use a knife to swirl into cake batter. Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean.
  • Step 2
    Mix together powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract in a medium bowl with a whisk. Drizzle over warm cake. Serve warm and is good at room temp.
