How to Make Cinnamon Raisin bread
- In a large bowl, combie the flour, 1- 1/2 cups sugar, soda and salt. in a small bowl, whisk the eggs, buttermilk and oil. Stir into dry ingerients just until moistened. Fold in the raisins. Comebine cinnamon and remaining Sugar; set a side.
- Spoon half of the batter into two greased 8-in x 4 in loaf pans. Sprinkle with half of the reserved cinnamon -sugar ; repeat layers. cut through batter with a knife to swirl.
- Bake at 350 f. for 55-60 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted near the center comes out clean. cool in pans for 10 minutes before re moving from pans to write racks. yield: 2 loaves ( 12 slices each)
