How to Make Buttery Caramel Quicks


  • 1Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • 2In 9" square pan, melt butter.
  • 3Stir in 1/3 cup brown sugar and water.
  • 4Set aside.
  • 5In large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • 6Add milk all at once, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  • 7Turn out onto well-floured surface.
  • 8Roll out to a 12" x 10" rectangle.
  • 9Combine 1/3 cup brown sugar, cinnamon & pecans.
  • 10Sprinkle over dough.
  • 11Roll up starting with 12" side.
  • 12Cut into 1" slices; place cut-side down in prepared pan.
  • 13Bake at 425°F for 18-22 minutes, until golden brown.
  • 14Turn out immediately and serve hot.
