I just adopted this little darling for Christmas. Haven't made it yet, but plan to real soon.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

How To Make buttery caramel quicks

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Step 2
    In 9" square pan, melt butter.
  • Step 3
    Stir in 1/3 cup brown sugar and water.
  • Step 4
    Set aside.
  • Step 5
    In large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • Step 6
    Add milk all at once, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  • Step 7
    Turn out onto well-floured surface.
  • Step 8
    Roll out to a 12" x 10" rectangle.
  • Step 9
    Combine 1/3 cup brown sugar, cinnamon & pecans.
  • Step 10
    Sprinkle over dough.
  • Step 11
    Roll up starting with 12" side.
  • Step 12
    Cut into 1" slices; place cut-side down in prepared pan.
  • Step 13
    Bake at 425°F for 18-22 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Step 14
    Turn out immediately and serve hot.
