  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 2 c
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
  • 2/3 c
  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans

How to Make Buttery Caramel Quicks


  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. In 9" square pan, melt butter.
  3. Stir in 1/3 cup brown sugar and water.
  4. Set aside.
  5. In large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  6. Add milk all at once, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  7. Turn out onto well-floured surface.
  8. Roll out to a 12" x 10" rectangle.
  9. Combine 1/3 cup brown sugar, cinnamon & pecans.
  10. Sprinkle over dough.
  11. Roll up starting with 12" side.
  12. Cut into 1" slices; place cut-side down in prepared pan.
  13. Bake at 425°F for 18-22 minutes, until golden brown.
  14. Turn out immediately and serve hot.
