Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 2/3 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 1-1/3 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sour cream/plain yogurt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 large eggs, beaten lightly
How To Make brown sugar corn bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350. Grease a loaf pan.

Step 2Measure butter and sugar into a small saucepan and heat just until melted. Turn off heat and stir to combine. Allow to cool slightly.

Step 3In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Step 4Whisk milk and eggs into the sugar-butter mixture.

Step 5Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently just until blended. Pour into prepared loaf pan.

Step 6Bake 30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out dry. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a cooling rack to finish cooling.
