Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups non dairy buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3 cups white whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup raisins or chopped dates
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

How To Make brown bread

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350o. Grease and flour 9" by 5" bread pan.
  • Step 2
    Mix all ingredients.
  • Step 3
    Turn batter into bread pan. Bake for 1 hour at 350o.
