Banana Nut Bread



I have always loved banana nut bread but I haven't had it since my Great-Grandmother passed away in 97. I found this recipe in a book my Grandmother gave me and just had to try it. I love it. After 14 years I finally have one of my favorite things again.

    cooking oil
  • 1 c
  • 2
    eggs beaten
  • 3
    ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts

How to Make Banana Nut Bread


  1. Beat oil and sugar together.
  2. Add eggs and bananas and beat well.
  3. Add sifted dry ingredients, milk, and vanilla. Mix well and stir in nuts.
  4. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3-inch). Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Cool well and store overnight before cutting.
