I've tried a lot of different people's banana bread, but sorry to say, none compare with the moistness, flavor, or ease of this recipe. I hope you all enjoy it as much as our family does.

Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening, butter flavor
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sour milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup bananas
How To Make banana bread

Step 1Cream the Sugar and Shortening together. Add in and the eggs and beat well. Stir in dry ingredients alternately with the Sour Milk (1/2 Cup of milk with either a tsp of lemon juice or white vinegar works well for the sour milk), beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, smash the bananas well. Then stir them in to the batter.

Step 2Grease and flour Two 8x3 loaf pans. Pour batter evenly into the 2 pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes, checking for done-ness. Toothpick or sharp knife should come out clean. Cool in pan for 5 minutes then turn out of pan to complete cooling.

Step 3This is delicious served warm, spread with a little butter or plain.
