This banana nut bread is delicious. A dear friend gave me this recipe years ago. It's one of the many breads I make for friends at Christmas. Easy and delicious. This recipe makes two loaves of bread. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 3 - bananas, crushed
- 1 cup nuts, chopped
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt

Step 1Cream together Shortening and sugar,

Step 2Add eggs, bananas and nuts to mixture.

Step 3In a different large bowl, sift flour baking soda & salt.

Step 4Add creamed mixture to the flour mixture and mix well. Add to lightly greased and two floured loaf pans.

Step 5Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.

Step 6After baking, place on a cooling rack.

Step 7Once completely cooled, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate. Enjoy!
