Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2/3 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 to 3
    eggs
  • 2 to 3
    ripe bananas
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 c
    raisins
  • 1 c
    crushed walnuts

How to Make banana bread

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large glass bowl, microwave a stick of butter about 1 minute to liquify it.
  2. Add the sugar and stir with fork.
  3. Add the eggs and mix thoroughly. (I use 3 eggs)
  4. Add bananas (Ripe ones work better) and mush into the mixture. (I use 3 or 4 bananas)
  5. After mixture is smooth, add Flour, Salt, Baking Soda and Baking Powder. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Add crushed walnuts and add raisins.
  7. Pour into one or two greased, (I use Pam), metal bread pans, depending on how thick you want the bread to be. (I use 2 pans usually)
  8. Bake in oven at 350 degrees F. for an hour to hour and a half.... i go by smell and by if the knife i poke into the bread shows if there is uncooked batter inside or not.
  9. Let cool for a little bit, cut up and enjoy!
