  • 1 1/4 c
  • 1/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 2
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 4 Tbsp
    sour cream
  • 1 1/4 c
  • 1 c
    mashed ripe banana
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp

How to Make Atlanta Banana Bread


  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Cream sugar and butter; add eggs.

    To sugar mixture add flour, banana and salt.
  3. Fold in remaining ingredients.

    Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake one hour. Depending on pan and elevation, may be done in 55 minutes.

    Opt: walnuts and/or blueberries
