Ingredients
- 1 package rye bread (light or dark)
- 1 package white or wheat bread
- 1 cup olive oil, extra virgin
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
How To Make zesty homemade croutons

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Step 2Cut bread into 1 inch cubes

Step 3Put in large mixing bowl & drizzle olive oil over the bread until well coated

Step 4Sprinkle cheese, garlic powder, italian seasoning, and salt & pepper over bread cubes and mix

Step 5Transfer to a large baking pan or cookie sheet and arrange to one layer

Step 6Bake for 10 minutes, remove pan from oven and stir croutons

Step 7Bake for 10 more minutes or until desired crunchiness

Step 8Cool on pan and transfer to air-tight container

Step 9Amount of seasoning can be adjusted to your preference. Bread doesn't have to be fresh - we buy day old bread from the store's bakery. The aroma while cooking will make your house smell great!
