This is a recipe that has been handed down through the family. I have been told by people who eat my corn bread, that this is the best corn bread they have ever put in their mouth. It is moist and full of flavor. You won't be disappointed!

Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup corn meal (martha white i like best)
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
How To Make southern corn bread

Step 1Melt butter in a bowl. Then mix in the above. Pour into a 8x8 greased pan. Bake at 375 for about 30-40 minutes. I usually do about 36 to 37 minutes. Butter the top when it comes out of the oven. Serve hot if you like.
