2 1/4 lbplain flour ( 9 cups)
9 ozbutter, unsalted
1 tspbaking powder
1diced red, green & yellow pepper each
1 bunchgreen onions
1 ccheddar cheese, shredded
1 chard salami, sliced (omit for vegeterian)
1/2 cparmigiano-reggiano, grated
2 tspcajun seasoning
How to Make Savoury Scones
- Mix flour and the baking powder in a large bowl. Rub in butter until size of peas.
- Add milk and gently mix to form a dough. Do not knead. On a floured surface, press dough mixture flat into a uniform level of about 1 1/2 inches thick. Cut into triangles and brush with egg wash.
- Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
