I needed to use up some Avocado and had some yummy prosciutto. So, this is the delicious melt I made. We loved them. The saltiness of the ham meshed well with the creamy richness of the Avocado. I'll be making these all summer. Yum!

Ingredients

english muffin
1 Tbsp
softened, butter
1 clove
garlic
slivered
red onion
2 slice
prosciutto
1
avacado, sliced and i sprinkle with some lemon juice
4 slice
ripe tomato
Mozzarella
cheese - fresh or shredded
Sea
salt, pepper and dried basil
balsamic
vinegar - optional
Parm
cheese

How to Make ~ Prosciutto Avocado Melt ~ Cassies

Step-by-Step

  • 1Turn on your broiler. Slice muffin in half. Butter both sides. Broil until golden, a few minutes. Rub with clove of garlic.
  • 2Place a few slivers of red onion and 1 slice of Prosciutto on each halve. Next a couple slices of Avocado. Sprinkle lightly with salt, pepper and dried basil. Add 2 slices of tomato, lightly salt, add desired amount of cheese and sprinkle with more basil.
  • 3Place under broiler 2nd notch from top in oven. Broil for roughly 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbling.
  • 4Drizzle with some good balsamic vinegar. Salt, pepper if desired and sprinkle with some fresh shredded Parmesan.
