    plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1
    egg slightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp
    syrup
  • 1 c
    sour milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    crisco

How to Make Nana's Scotch Scones

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix flour, salt, soda, baking powder together, add egg, syrup, sour milk & shortening. Roll out 1" thick cut in half then quarters. Put in ungreased griddle. Cook until done, turning as necessary even on the edges. wrap scones in clean dish towel.
