This is the greatest spoon casserole bread recipe I have ever made- This is from a friend of mine who is in home economics. When you make this bread your whole neighborhood will smell it.- don't be surprised if they come knocking at your door.

1 loaf bread or bundt pan
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 4+ cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme, dried
- 2 packages active dry yeast
- 1 large egg
How To Make casserole bread

Step 1Heat oven to 375.

Step 2In a saucepan heat water, milk and oil, until very warm. Measure out flour.

Step 3In a large bowl combine warm liquid and 2 cups of the flour and remaining ingredients.

Step 4Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. By hand stir in remaining flour to make a stiff dough.

Step 5Add a little more if needed to make a stiff dough. But not tough.

Step 6Cover ; let rise in a warm place until light and double in size about 45-60 minutes.

Step 7Grease a 2 quart casserole that is deep and round or a 10 inch bundt pan. Stir down dough, and spoon into casserole.

Step 8Bake for 45-50 minutes- until golden brown and sounds hollow when lightly tapped on the bottom.

Step 9Brush with butter when on the cooling rack. If desired, sprinkle with coarse salt.
