Ingredients

yellow cornmeal
1/2 c
all purpose flour
6 Tbsp
sugar
2 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
baking soda
2
eggs
1 c
buttermilk
1/4 c
olive oil
3
jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely chopped

How to Make Jalapeno Corn Bread

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a bowl,combine the first six ingredients. In another bowl,whisk the eggs,buttermilk and oil.
  • 2Add to the dry ingredients and stir just until moistened. Stir in jalapenos.Pour into a greased 9" square baking pan.
  • 3Bake at 400 degrees for 20-22 min. or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cut into squares. Serve warm.
