This jalapeno Cheese Bread is the perfect sidekick to a Bowl of "Big Bill's" Win or lose Chili...the Extra Sharp Cheddar and the Jalapeno make this one household favorite !!!!!!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 package fleischmans yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups extrasharp cheddar grated
  • 2 tablespoons diced jalapeno pepper (jar type) drained
  • 1 cup warm water (100* - 110*)

How To Make "jalapeno & cheddar "rise" again"

  • Step 1
    In a Large bowl combine Sugar, Yeast packet & 1 cup warm water. Mix well and allow to dissolve about 2-3 minutes. Add Bread Flour, Cheddar Cheese & Jalapeno, stirring well until a ball forms, Knead about 20 good times with your lightly floured hands, Place dough on greased baking sheet and form into a 8" x 4" loaf....cover and let rise for 25 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Pre-heat oven to 400* After dough has risen take a very sharp knife and cut 3 slits across the top of the loaf. Place in the oven and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown, remove to a cooling rack for 5-10 minutes before serving.

    Slice, Plate and ENJOY!!!! The blend of Cheese and Pepper is DELICIOUS
