1Mix flour and sugar. Pour in beer all at once. Mix just enough to give a wet and sloppy look. Put into well-greased loaf pan. Pour melted butter on top. Bake at 325 for 1 hour. Let rest 5 minutes before removing from pan.
2To make self-rising flour add 1-1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to each cup of flour.
