I have had this recipe for many years. It is good for when there is not enough time to make yeast bread from scratch. Tastes very similar. My husband likes it, too.

Ingredients
- 3 cups self-rising flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 12 ounces beer
- 1 stick butter, melted
How To Make easy beer bread

Step 1Mix flour and sugar. Pour in beer all at once. Mix just enough to give a wet and sloppy look. Put into well-greased loaf pan. Pour melted butter on top. Bake at 325 for 1 hour. Let rest 5 minutes before removing from pan.

Step 2To make self-rising flour add 1-1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to each cup of flour.
