this is quite a tasty pan of bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup oats
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons dry yeast
  • 1 - egg
  • 4 to 5 cups flour
  • 1 cup shreddd mozzarella cheese
  • TOPPING
  • 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 tablespoons melte butter

How To Make cheesy italian pan bread

  • Step 1
    spray a 13x9 baking pan
  • Step 2
    in a saucepan bring water to a boil, add oats and butter. let cool
  • Step 3
    combine 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast.add oat mixture and egg.
  • Step 4
    blend low speed of electric mixer. beat 3 minutes medium speed
  • Step 5
    stir in 1 3/4 cups to 2 1/2 cups flour and cheese to form stiff dough
  • Step 6
    knead 5 minutes adding more flour if needed
  • Step 7
    cover and let rise 15 minutes
  • Step 8
    press into prepared baking pan
  • Step 9
    cut in diaginal 1 1/2" apart. cut completely thru with sharp knife.
  • Step 10
    let rise 45 minutes
  • Step 11
    redefine cut marks and bake 375 degrees 15 minutes
  • Step 12
    spoon melted butter over and then sprinkle with topping *the dry ingredients that have been blended together.*
  • Step 13
    bake another 10 to 15 minutes
