candi's rosemary garlic french bread

Just finished this to go with dinner this evening and it turned out wonderful. Of course it is gone!!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 - egg yolk
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon crushed rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon (heaping) crushed garlic
  • 1 teaspoon butter

How To Make candi's rosemary garlic french bread

  • Step 1
    In large bowl Mix milk, oil, egg yolk and rosemary together. Let sit until room tempurature. Mix in dry ingredients to form a ball of dough. Cover with plastic wrap and set in warm place for about 30-45 minutes
  • Step 2
    turn dough out onto floured surface, knead garlic into dough for about 5 minutes until garlic is well incorporated into dough. shape in french loaf and place on ungreased cookie sheet
  • Step 3
    Cover with towel and let rize for 15-20 minutes. Bake in 350* oven for 20-25 minutes. Place on cooling rack for 10 minutes, brush with butter and slice! This is a very soft bread, even the outside is soft
