1/2 tspsea salt
How to Make Alex Guarnaschelli's Garlic Bread
- Split the whole head of garlic in half, horizontally and drizzle with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Wrap in foil and bake at 350 degrees until soft, about 40 minutes.
- Cut bread in half lengthwise.
- Finely mince the 3 raw cloves of garlic and combine with the remaining olive oil and the softened butter. Spread mixture evenly over the loaf of bread. Sprinkle with the paprika, oregano, chili flakes and salt.
- Squeeze the roasted garlic from the skin and then spread the paste evenly over the loaf. Wrap tightly in foil and refrigerate over night.
- Preheat oven to 350. Bake the bread in the foil until it is hot, about 25-30 minutes. If you like it crustier, remove the foil, open the loaf into two halves and broil for just a minute or so.
