2in a large mixing bowl - start with the SR Flour, sugar, then add the beer. It will fiz up, don't panic. Stir til just combined and dough is sticky. Put into greased loaf pan/place in preheated oven.
3Bake one hour - should be a rich golden brown.
Upon removal from oven, rub butter over the hot loaf to coat with the butter as it melts. Cool loaf at least 30 min. then turn out to a rack to finish cooling. Tastes GREAT toasted. Very similar to Irish Soda bread/try different beers for different consistency.
