This recipe is from a Bread Machine Baking Cookbook for 1 1/2 or 2 lb. loaves to make in bread machine. I have tried several and so far, all have been delicious.

FOR 1 1/2 POUND (16 SLICES)

1 c
milk
1/4 c
water
4 tsp
margarine, butter or olive oil
3 c
bread flour
4 tsp
sugar
3/4 tsp
salt
1 tsp
active dry yeast or bread machine yeast

FOR 2 POUND (22 SLICES)

1 1/4 c
milk
1/4 c
water
2 Tbsp
margarine, butter, or olive oil
4 c
bread flour
2 Tbsp
sugar
1 tsp
salt
1 1/4 tsp
active dry yeast or bread machine yeast

Step-By-Step

1Select the loaf size. Add the ingredients to the machine according to the manufacturer's directions. Select the basic white bread cycle.
2Note: The cookbook recommends 1/4 cup water for either size recipe.
