This is a recipe from a friend and I have to say it's a great twist on regular grilled cheese.

  • 3 oz
    softened cream cheese
  • 3/4 c
  • 1 c
    4 oz shredded cheddar
  • 1 c
    4 oz shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp
    seasoned salt
  • 10 slice
    italian bread
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, softened

How to Make Ultimate Grilled Cheese


  1. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and mayo. Stir in remaining ingredients (cheeses, garlic, seasoned salt).
  2. Spread 5 slices bread with 1/3 cup mixture each. Top with remaining bread.
  3. Butter outsides of sandwiches; Cook in large skillet over medium heat till golden brown, on both sides.
