Instead of garlic bread my mom use to make tomato bread when the garden tomatoes were ripe.

Ingredients
- 1 - loaf of french bread or what ever kind you like italian sour dough
- - softened butter
- - garlic salt
- - parsley
- - oregano, dried or fresh
- - basil dried or fresh
- - thinly sliced tomatoes
- - mozzarella cheese, low-fat
- - grated parmesan cheese
How To Make tomato bread

Step 1Split bread lengthwise and butter cut faces. Sprinkle with garlic salt. Add layer of sliced tomatoes. Sprinkle with oregano, basil, parsley to taste. Add mozzarella, and sprinkle with parmesan. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbling but not brown. Cut crosswise into pieces. Serve hot as appetizer or side dish.
