I can't take total credit for this recipe. My mom always made this a staple at Christmas Eve growing up.

Ingredients

  • 1 - loaf of french bread
  • 2 packages cream cheese......softened
  • 1 package french onion soup mix
  • 1 bunch green onions

How To Make stuffed french bread

  • Step 1
    Cut loaf of bread lengthwise in half so you have two long section.
  • Step 2
    Tunnel out the bottom of the bread so you have a well.
  • Step 3
    Chop green onions.
  • Step 4
    Mix softened cream cheese, onion soup mix, and chopped green onions.
  • Step 5
    Place cream cheese mixture in the well of the bottom of the bread.
  • Step 6
    Place top of bread on the filled bottom.
  • Step 7
    Cut into sections (about ten depending on the size you want)
  • Step 8
    Refrigerate for about an hour until cream cheese hardens again.
