My family have many fantastic old school recipes and I am one that enjoys making them and sharing most of them with you.I am from Texas and also Cajun.I am what they call the double wammy!! It's a blessing to me.Let me know what you all think of this one.
1Scald milk, Gradually add cornmeal and stir until mushy,(about 10 munutes) Allow Mixture to cool for 5-10 minutesand add salt, beaten egg yolks,butter and sugar.Slowly fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into greased skillet or baking dish.
2Bake @ 375 for 35-40 mins.Serves 4-6 regular people or 1-2 Southerners. (we luv it) lol
