How to Make Special Date Nut Loaf
- Separate eggs; in a medium bowl beat egg whites until very stiff.
- Put egg yolks in separate bowl and beat well.
Add beaten egg yolks to stiff egg whites and mix well. Set aside.
- In a large bowl sift flour, baking powder and salt; stir in sugar and blend well; add chopped date and nuts. Add eggs and mix well. Pour into prepared loaf pans.
- Pre-heated oven to 325 degrees. Well grease 2 loaf pans. Bake 1 hour or until tooth pick in center comes out clean. Cool in pans about 15 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks.
