southern cornbread
When we were growing up we had either biscuits or cornbread with every meal. We didn't live in town so Mom made the bread that we ate with our meals. She didn't measure anything but this is as close as I can get to her recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 cup corm meal
- 6 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon (heaping) baking powder
- 2 - egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup buttermilk
How To Make southern cornbread

Step 1Preheat oven to 450 F.

Step 2Mix all dry ingredients together in mixing bowl.

Step 3Mix wet ingredients together in separate bowl.

Step 4Combine dry and wet ingredients and stir until mixed well.

Step 5Pour into round cake pan that has been sprayed with non-stick spray.

Step 6Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
