Ingredients
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups water, warm
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 package coarse sea salt
- 1 teaspoon shortening
- 1 large egg,beaten
How To Make soft pretzels

Step 1In large bowl, Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add flour salt and sugar. Mix well.On lightly floured surface, knead the mixture well with your hands. Roll pieces of dough into any shapes you like.Gently place pretzels onto well greased cookie sheet greased with shortening. In a small bowl, beat egg with fork. Brush tops of dough with egg. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-15 minutes.makes 1 1/2 dozen pretzels.
