I love this with either shrimp or crawfish. Easy to make, and serve.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups medium shrimp or crawfish
  • 1 - loaf french bread or hoagie buns
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  • - seafood seasoning to taste

How To Make shrimp bread

  • Step 1
    Slice bread in half lengthwise and scoop out the inside of the loaf. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    In a large skillet, melt butter over medium–high heat. Sauté shrimp, onions, celery, bell pepper, and garlic for 15 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Blend in dry mustard and mayonnaise. Add cheeses and blend until melted.
  • Step 4
    Spread mixture inside the bread, then put the halves back together. Butter the top of the bread.
  • Step 5
    Then wrap in foil and bake on a BBQ pit or in the oven at 350* for 20 to 30 minutes. Then cut into serving pieces and serve hot.
