sharon's quick & easy cornbread
This is a good recipe ,if you like thin, crisp bread. It is really good with fried sour kraut and soup beans aka pinto beans.

- 1 cup self-rising corn meal
- 1 cup self rising flour
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 cup water
How To Make sharon's quick & easy cornbread

Step 1Preheat oven to 500 degrees.

Step 2In a 12in. iron skillet add oil.

Step 3In a bowl mix meal,flour,oil from the skillet, buttermilk, and water. Pour into skillet.

Step 4Bake until edges are brown approx. 15-20 min. then turn oven to broil until golden brown. Turn onto plate and cut into small squares.
