Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons coconut milk, unsweetened
  • 2 - eggs,lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons coconut butter,melted
  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • - pinch of salt
  • 4 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • - corn oil for deep frying

How To Make sesame bites

  • Step 1
    Combine the sugar, coconut milk, eggs, and coconut butter in a bowl. Combine the flour, shredded coconut,baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then stir the flour mixture into the egg mixture. Knead lightly until smooth.
  • Step 2
    Form the mixture into small balls with your hands, or with 2 tsps. Spread out the sesame seeds on a plate and roll the balls in them to coat.
  • Step 3
    Half fill a wok or deep heavy bottomed skillet with oil and heat to 350-375 or until a cube of bread browns on 30 seconds. Remove with a perforated spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
