Ingredients

  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    coconut milk, unsweetened
  • 2
    eggs,lightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp
    coconut butter,melted
  • 1 3/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 4 tsp
    shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • ·
    pinch of salt
  • 4 Tbsp
    sesame seeds
  • ·
    corn oil for deep frying

How to Make Sesame Bites

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine the sugar, coconut milk, eggs, and coconut butter in a bowl. Combine the flour, shredded coconut,baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then stir the flour mixture into the egg mixture. Knead lightly until smooth.
  2. Form the mixture into small balls with your hands, or with 2 tsps. Spread out the sesame seeds on a plate and roll the balls in them to coat.
  3. Half fill a wok or deep heavy bottomed skillet with oil and heat to 350-375 or until a cube of bread browns on 30 seconds. Remove with a perforated spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
