I rarely use self-rising flour so I don't like to keep it on hand. This recipe makes 1 cup of fresh self rising flour and you can double or triple the recipe as needed.

Make it right when you need it and its not taking up a canister or going bad in the paper bag.

Recipe came from my former college roommate who teaches Home Ec.

How to Make Self Rising Flour, Make It Yourself


  1. Stir together all ingredients. Double or triple recipe as needed.

    Use in place of commercial self rising flour.
