Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 c
    plain flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 3 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 c
    pumpkin
  • 1 c
    veg. oil
  • 2/3 c
    water

How to Make Pumpkin Nut Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients together just til moistened. Bake in 2 greased loaf pans or you can make muffins.
  2. Loaf pans - bake at 325 for 70 minutes. Muffin pans-bake for 15 minutes then check
  3. let cool for 10 minutes in pan. After dumping onto alum. foil, coat bottom of bread with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar. Can freeze. Keep tightly covered.
