I found this recipe in the "Womansday magazine" and knew the kids would love these. When I whipped these up, the kids wanted more so, I had to make another batch. Also these would be great for a brunch or lunch even a snack by cutting them in quarters. and instead of serving the normal ( OJ, MILK, COFFEE or TEA) Try serving a family- friendly mocktail. another recipe that you will find in my Kitchen.... I also got that from Womansday magazine....

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of wheat or white bread ( remove the crust )
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons of jelly any flavor
  • 4 - large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

How To Make pb&j french toast sticks

  • Step 1
    Spread 1 tbsp of peanut butter on each slice of bread do the same for the jelly fold bread in half pressing edges to seal
  • Step 2
    in a 13 by 9 inch backing dish , whisk eggs and milk, place the sandwiches in the dish and let soak i min per side
  • Step 3
    melt 1 Tbsp of butter in a 10 inch nonstick skellet over medium heat cook the sandwiches until golden brown that would be about 2 min per side add more butter to skillet as needed place them on a plate and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar
  • Step 4
    you can also garnish with fruit and some type of nut Enjoy !!!! Happy eating :)
