My fiance's niece does not like cornbread at all but she loves my sour cream & green onion cornbread. Great to eat with brown beans or chili. It is even delicious by itself.

Ingredients
- 2 cups self-rising corn meal
- 3/4 cup milk or buttermilk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 - egg
- 2 tablespoons sugar or favorite artificial sweetner
- 1 cup chopped green onion including the green stalk
- 3/4 cup favorite sour cream
How To Make pat's sour cream & green onion cornbread

Step 1Preheat a 10 inch cast iron skillet and 1 stick of margarine in a 425 degree oven.

Step 2Blend all ingredients with a wire whisk.

Step 3Pour mixture into preheated skillet and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Invert onto a plate and slice. Serve hot.
