Prep. time on this includes the rising time! Machines will differ somewhat, but they are usually pretty close. This is an especially good potato bread. My family loves it. It's really good with stews, chili and other hot dishes,as well as everything else. Many of you are familiar with "Grandma Sycamore"'s bread. That is potato bread, if you aren't sure what the difference is in the taste and texture of the breads. It is truly yummy.

  1. Combine potato and water in a small saucepan. Simmer, covered, until the potato is tender, abut 10 minutes;slip off the peels. Cool to room temperature.

This recipe will not work with the Delay Timer function. Immediately remove bread from the bread pan and place it on a rack. Let cool to room temperature before slicing. Yeild 1 (2 lb) loaf.
