Ingredients
- 2 1/3 cups water, divided
- 1 cup quick cooking oatmeal
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 4 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 4 1/2 cups bread flour
How To Make oatmeal dinner rolls

Step 1Place 2 cups of water in a pan and bring to a boil. Add the oatmeal and cook for 1 minute. Add the brown sugar, butter, and salt.

Step 2Pour into a stand mixer bowl with the hook attachment and let cool to 105 degrees.

Step 3Add the yeast and mix on 1. Add the flour and mix on 2 until it has come together, then lower to 1.

Step 4Knead for 10 minutes.

Step 5Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.

Step 6Punch down and shape into balls

Step 7Place on 2 greased baking sheets. Cover and let rise again for 1 hour.

Step 8Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
