I started making this recipe several years ago for a quick treat for my kids. Little did I know that it would become famous in our town. I'm asked to make it for all my kid's friends, teachers, co-workers and bake sales.

Ingredients For mrs. p's pumpkin bread

  • 2 c
    floour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    ground gloves
  • 1 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 can
    pumpkin (15 oz can)
  • 3/4 c
    walnuts, chopped (if desired)

How To Make mrs. p's pumpkin bread

    2 cups Flour, ½ tsp Salt, ½ tsp Baking Powder, 1 tsp Baking Soda, 1 tsp each: cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Mix well and set aside. In a large bowl, beat 2 cups sugar and ¾ cup butter. Slowly beat in 2 eggs and 1 can (1 lb) pumpkin. Add flour mixture and mix well. Add ¾ cups nuts if desired.
