This is a nice bread to serve for a dinner with a Mexican theme...like Mexican Meatball Soup or Mexican Salad.

Ingredients
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 4-oz cans diced green chiles
- 1 cup grated jack cheese
How To Make mexican style cornbread with chiles & cheese

Step 1In a bowl, stir together first 3 ingredients until blended.

Step 2In another bowl, beat together the remaining ingredients until blended.

Step 3Add dry ingredients to egg mixture and stir until nicely blended, but do not overmix.

Step 4Spread batter into a greased 9x9-inch pan and bake in a 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until top is golden brown and a cake tester, inserted in center, comes out clean.

Step 5Cut into squares and serve warm.
