maple wild rice bread
A very unique bread, but very worth the time it takes to let it rise twice. Enjoy!

- 1 cup maple syrup
- 5 cups flour

How To Make maple wild rice bread
-
Step 1Put rice, flours, yeast and salt in a bowl. Mix. Put butter, water and syrup in a pan and heat to very warm. Slowly add to rice, mix scraping sides. Dough should cling to mixer and come away from bowl. You may not need all 5 cups of flour. Put 3 c in first, then add as needed. Knead. Put in greased bowl, raise double. Punch down to remove air, form into 2 French bread loaves. Spray cookie sheets with PAM, allow to double.

Step 2Bake at 350 degrees 30-40 min. Remove to cool on wire racks. I omitted the salt, and it came out fine.
