lemon tea bread
Made this many times as my husband keeps asking me to ! It is moist and delish ! Not sure how I found this one but I have shared it many times.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 - lemon and rind
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 medium eggs beaten
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- - syrup:
- - juice of 1 lemon
- - 1/4 cup sugar
How To Make lemon tea bread

Step 1Cream butter and sugar. Add Lemon rind and mix. Add beaten eggs and mix again. Sift flour and baking powder and add to butter and eggs, alternatly with milk. Bake in 9x5x3 greased pan at 375 degrees for 35 minutes. Syrup = Combine juice and sugar and pour over top of bread right out of the oven. Cool 10 minutes. 1/2 c of walnuts can be added to batter if desired.
