Makes 12 scones
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powde
- - zest of 1 large lemon
- 1/2 cup butter, frozen
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup blueberries
- LEMON GLAZE
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
How To Make lemon blueberry scones

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease scone pan.

Step 2In large bowl, whisk, flour, sugar, baking powder and lemon zest.

Step 3Grate frozen butter and toss into the flour mixture. Combine with pastry cutter or fingers until mixture is coarse crumbs.

Step 4In a small bowl, whisk the buttermilk, egg and vanilla.

Step 5Drizzle liquid over flour mixture and toss with spatula until moistened.

Step 6Gently fold in blueberries.

Step 7Divide into scone pan.

Step 8Bake 20 - 25 minutes.

Step 9Allow to cool in pan about 10 minutes.

Step 10Make glaze by combining lemon juice and confectioners' sugar. Whisk until smooth.

Step 11Drizzle glaze over scones.
