I had never had hot water cornbread before I met a friend from Arkansas, she would talk about it ,she brought me some and it was delicious.I watched several Tube videos to see how it was done.I spoke to some people and what I realized was, everyone makes it different! so,I decided to make my own version too.It came out great so this is how I do it.It's based on the cornbread I learned to make as a child.
You can use cornmeal or grits(uncooked) both are delicious!
