jalapeño cornbread
I got this recipe from my mother many years ago. Every time I made this someone asked me for a copy and my family requested it often. This is really good with chili or any greens. Enjoy!!!

Ingredients
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt and pepper
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1can corn, cream-style
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 large jalapeño pepper
- 1/2 lb sharp cheddar cheese , shredded
- 1/2 cup veg oil
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
How To Make jalapeño cornbread

Step 1Mix all ingredients together in large bowl

Step 2Pour into large well greased 13X9 inch pan

Step 3Bake at 450 degrees for approximately 30 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean
